"Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I will hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel." Philippians 1:27
Pray for our team as we are serving Christ in West Africa and for Amanda (pictured in burgandy) as she is our anchor and prayer warrior at home.

Parachute
We pulled out the parachute after a swim and some lunch. It was hard to find an open area without trees or huts, but we manged to find a small spot to play. After blowing up a beachball about as fast as the speed of light, I ran to help them and all they could say was "Aunt Amy! Come play!" How it fills my heart with joy to hear the happiness in their voices and hear the contentment in their laughter. :)

Aw. I'm pretty sure it makes God smile to see how much those kids just love you and how you are such an example of His love to them!
ReplyDeleteSo I proudly wore my bright yellow shirt to church today with my hair straightened. When I came into first service, I tapped your siblings on the head and started to give your mom a hug and she said "Out of my peripheral vision I thought you were Amy for a second. Just outta the corner of my eye." Amy we miss you so much! How it filled my heart with joy to sit next to such a Godly woman while watching her beautiful daughter on the screen at church telling us all about how God is working in Senegal! We are so proud of you Amy and we wanted to stand up and jump up and down, waving to you! I saw you again second service, because I stalk you guys! It was great. It really was. It sounds like you have made so many new friends. I can't wait to hear about your Sunday in Senegal!
ps: Oklahoma lost...hehehe...but Mizzou did too. :( Oh well, you probably don't care about these silly things that we worry about so much over here! It just puts it all in perspective I'm sure!
