Beginning to Pack!

With only 5 days left until we leave, at our weekly meeting we packed food for the missionaries and their families. Every suitcase was packed to the brim (all almost reached their 50lb limit!) with food and goodies that are going to be used to bless God's servants. It is going to be an adventure and I can't wait to see what God has in store for all of us!

Africa Countdown: Three Weeks!

Dear Friends.

Today we had our weekly meeting, got to take our group picture (which I will be posting soon), and further discussing our plans for the VBS for the missionary kids. I am SO excited! We will be getting to serve a few missionary families by providing a seminar for the parents and taking care of the children by doing an all day vacation bible school. We are busy thinking up games, putting together craft items and looking up specific biblical truths that we want to teach the children. In less than 3 weeks we will be leaving for Senegal. Wow, God is so good! Please continue to pray for the safety and protection of our team as we prepare to venture into the great unknown to advance the gospel. This is a great adventure!

For His Glory,
Amy Kate

Pre-Trip Prayers

Dear Friends,

In exactly 27 days our team will be on a plane flying over the depths of the Atlantic to serve our Lord in Senegal, Africa. Please join me in prayer as we prepare to leave our comfortable homes and fufill a mission that God has placed in every one of the seven servants that are going. This is the first post of many that will keep you updated on ways you can pray for us, adventures that we have and ways that God is working both before and during the trip. Thank you in advance for all the support and love that you are sending our way. God is faithful, we can do nothing without Him. He will give us strength in ways that we cannot imagine. What a Savior - What a Friend.

For His Glory,
Amy Kate (on behalf of the "Great Adventure" team)
